This collaboration between Celestial Migrant and Chunny B. came about via a shared fascination with virtual environments, world building and embodied motion.
They had conversations about how the virtual is neither a hidden nor localised object in space. It is a real, formal, relational layer instantiated in the mathematical-physical structures and dynamical tendencies of systems. Its effects are manifest in material processes and bodies in space, always becoming.
Celestial Migrant composed the initial algorithms, sounds and virtual environment and played it to Chunny B, who created a set of sounds specifically for the environment. CM incorporated Chunny B's sounds into the virtual environment, re-did the algorithm in response, and played the virtual environment. The album that you hear is the result. The infinite version is that virtual environment, which will play itself endlessly.
ABOUT CHUNNY B:
Living life like a bunch of side quests in a video game. Each day a new quest exploring curiosity and experimentation, wherever the creativity and the minds focus leads.
Whether that be distorting warping sampled sound, toggling dials with the framework of wonder what this will do, or noodling around with audio destruction through effects.
We are all lost somewhere in the multiverse.
Each branching session there's an alternate version.
Everything has an influence, organic with machine, created and found blended with a sense of randomness.

ABOUT CELESTIAL MIGRANT:
Celestial Migrant is made up of an Australian installation and performance digital artist, a sound designer and a composer. In 2023, we embarked on releasing a series of four albums a year, two at a time, for seven years. Each album explores a specific aspect of the triangular relationship between digital virtual spacetime, coded generative algorithms and ambient music theory. Real-time virtual environments are our composition tools and our instruments. We are based on Kirrai Wurrung (Eastern Maar Nation) and Wurundjeri (Kulin Nation) land in Australia.
